I'm starting a blog mainly for my Mom. She just had some foot surgery and is completely off her feet for 6 yes that is 6 long weeks. Did I mention that my Mom is not a sitter? So to keep her up to date on the house, I decided a blog might be fun to try. My husband Curt and I are building from the ground up our new house. We have remodeled two older homes before. Actually moving an entire house once, but this is our first new one. And since Curt is an Architect, we are pretty excited to be building his design.

It all started with this lovely piece of woods. About two acres. First of course we had to log, clearing a spot for the house. Then the excavator came and and dug the hole! Here is how it looked before, and after.
